Even the Comedians Can't Ignore the President's Foibles

Justin Katz

If you haven't yet watched the clip from Jon Stewart's Daily Show being touted as "the night Jon Stewart Turned on President Obama," do so. The best line, paraphrasing Obama's message to Democrats:

You know the most disappointing thing about you? Your disappointment in me.

Of course, this doesn't represent a sharp turn, but a further development of comedians' inability to ignore President Obama's eminently mockable characteristics.

Why is it that only comedians, seem to tell the truth anymore? I guess it's because the Pee-Party gives them such a plethora of outlandish lies, it's hard to resist the free material......... that the Right-Wing-nuts, gives them EVERY DAY ! !

The question for this morning is, what will little Sammmy be when he grows up?

This foul-mouthed child is almost making Alan Grayson look good.

"You know the most disappointing thing about you? Your disappointment in me."

And it was delivered in a perfect manner: low key and smiling.

The writing and acting on that show is top notch. I don't agree with Stewart on some things. When he's right, though, he's a blast to watch.

What John Stewart really pegs is how, even after two years Obama still thinks it's all about him. And a lot of the left wing media agree. Apparently, according to them, conservatives would find Obama's policies perfectly acceptable if they came from a white guy named John Smith.

OK, OK, let me get this straight. We elect a guy via affirmative action and people are actually surprised when he falls flat on his face??
And for anybody who wants to debate that it is anything but, just tell me - what white man/woman would have been considered for president with such a non-existent resume; someone who everybody knew so very little about??
The stupid liberal media can find out when you fart in the wrong place, but they can't find out much about Obama?? Yeah, right! Obama is a joke. Anybody who fell for this clown is just plain dumb. Can we finally put to bed the ruse that is multi-culturalism?

The "stupid liberal media" aided and abetted Bush's decision to dive into Iraq and has already shoveled dirt on the Obama presidency.
Comedians making fun of Obama are doing their job, poking fun at people in power. Dennis Miller is the only comic I've ever seen refuse to make fun of a president (and that policy changed when Obama took office).

Dennis Miller made fun of Reagan every week when he had the Weekend Update gig on Saturday Night Live.
