Political Season in Full Swing Already?
Justin Katz
Tomorrow's RI Voter Coalition event has turned out to have quite a line-up. I'll be there watching, and silently heckling on the Internet. (That's a figure of speech, of course.)
Also this week, on Saturday, is the Rhode Island Statewide Coalition's Winter Meeting, which is always worth a couple of hours on a Saturday morning.

The RIVC forums have proven to be a great source of meeting the candidates rather up close and personal. Kind of like MTV unplugged.
Oddly enough, there just doesn't seem to be much interest in the Democrats camp to join in the fun.
I went to the very first one in Coventry last year and the forum was a hit then with about 60 in attendance. It is well beyond 200 people for the last RIVC forum.
And yes, the RISC Winter Meeting is always a great time with some great motivation to carry the political junk through the winter doldrum.
AND there are seats available. Go to RISC.com and follow directions

Posted by: rhody at February 24, 2010 12:01 AMDoes anyone know how long the RIVC forums usually last? I would like to attend but need to plan it out so I can be on time for work
