9/11 Recalled

The opening of President George W. Bush's address to the nation, delivered about a week after the September 11 attack on America, remains the best assessment of how the nation responded six-years ago today…

Mr. Speaker, Mr. President Pro Tempore, members of Congress, and fellow Americans:

In the normal course of events, Presidents come to this chamber to report on the state of the Union. Tonight, no such report is needed. It has already been delivered by the American people.

We have seen it in the courage of passengers, who rushed terrorists to save others on the ground -- passengers like an exceptional man named Todd Beamer. And would you please help me to welcome his wife, Lisa Beamer, here tonight.

We have seen the state of our Union in the endurance of rescuers, working past exhaustion. We have seen the unfurling of flags, the lighting of candles, the giving of blood, the saying of prayers -- in English, Hebrew, and Arabic. We have seen the decency of a loving and giving people who have made the grief of strangers their own.

My fellow citizens, for the last nine days, the entire world has seen for itself the state of our Union -- and it is strong.

The ceremonies are getting smaller, and that is okay, we have to move on, but we can never forget. I was just the keynote speaker at the police and fire headquarters ceremony in Providence. Cops and firefighters mostly attendsd. If we don't keep the memories of those who perishedd alive, who will?

How could we forget? The mastermind of this diabolical scheme is still alive and well, and free. The criminally negligent government officials who failed us completely that day in are still in office or have been awarded medals of honor. We have yet to have anything close to a true independent investigation into the facts of September 11, 2001. There were 9 investigations into Pearl Harbor. The US Constitution has been shredded and the US is a sad police state now. The US is firmly in control by a filthy cabal who are intent on waging endless war. Meanwhile the average citizen mindlessly continues to consume unaware of the coming dollar collapse.

Seeing you've come this far risking arrest, PDM, how about telling us what you think a "true independent investigation" of 9/11/01 would find.

God knows. That rabbit hole is probably quite deep.

I'd imagine disturbing criminal negligence at the very top.
