The Michaud Agenda

Carroll Andrew Morse

Here’s Dennis Michaud’s 4 point Gubernatorial campaign agenda, straight from the Dennis Michaud for Governor website…

  • Economic Growth
  • Tax Relief
  • Quality Jobs
  • State Aid for Public Education
First question: If Mr. Michaud intends to provide both meaningful tax-relief and increased state aid for education, what programs does he intend to cut? Or does his entire "economic growth" program consist of his support for a no-bid casino deal for West Warwick?

Comments, although monitored, are not necessarily representative of the views Anchor Rising's contributors or approved by them. We reserve the right to delete or modify comments for any reason.

According to Michaud's own website he's running for ~Rhode Island Govenor~ Nice spelling Dennis.
Such a loser! lol
By the way check out Michaud's speaking cadence and style. Ever hear of Carol Channing?? It's her all the way. Gov. Carcieri will have the opportunity to do some great commercials with Michaud. For those who know of Carol Channing take a listen to Michaud the next time he's speaking. You will laugh out loud.
Carol Channing's twin. lol

Michaud has done a great job distinguishing himself from the other gubernatorial candidates who are apparently against economic growth, tax relief, quality jobs and aid to education!

Way to take on those tough issues, Denny boy!

Hey, I'm no designer but the Michaud web site looks just like all the marketing stuff put out by Gary Reilly when he ran against Laffey in 2004.

Hummm!!

Considering the man is a business economics professor, at least he knows something about the issues.

Steven:

Knowing something about the issues? As you say this is the least one can do. And in case you hadn't thought this through both sides know the issues.

You'll have to do better than that to make any case for Michaud.

Business Economics Professor my a**.

Would someone please ask this idiot the following questions to unmask this fraud?

Do you have tenure?
Are you in a tenure track position?

There is no corporate governance program at Brown. Where do you get off calling yourself the Director of it?

Your vita (resume) lists non-existent publications from a non-existing working group ? Isn't that fraud? Can we see/read these "publications"?

I can't tell you anything about where Mr. Michaud stands with the faculty at Brown, nor can I comment on his tenure. I can tell you that I had the chance to meet Mr. Michaud at Gaspee Days this weekend. He comes off as a great man who certainly has a better Rhode Island in his plans. I believe that if we do give this guy a chance, we will definitley be pleased with what he brings to the table. Seeing as he's an economics professor at one of this nation's finest institutions, he will definitley be able to give this state's plummeting economy a much needed boost.

I agree. While Michaud may come off as a bit "different," if you will, he truly does care about this state and this election. Word on the street is that a rather important announcement will be coming from the Michaud camp in the near future. Hes nto afraid to spend money to get his name and beliefs out there. Michaud has been out there putting in the work, and I hope that come election time, he gets his just desserts.

I think the Mashaud is doing a grate job at what he does. I met him and he is a pritty nice guy so stop beeing negative about him and start putting some positives about him.

Tim:
It's a simple spellng error, and I'm sure michaud didnt put that up himself, of course youve never accidentally typed the wrong key/ missed a key. And in response to your attack of his speaking, he teaches 150 students at Brown University, ask them if theyve ever taken anything away from his speaking... the answer you recieve will be a resounding "yes!," i promise. I have no problem with people attacking his position papers and such, hes a politician, its to be expected. But attacking a website that he does not type up himself is immature... its a shame people like you will actually have an influence on this election.
