The Marriage Debate Comes to Tiverton

Via the pastor, the same-sex marriage debate has made its way into my Roman Catholic church in Tiverton. How can a socially conservative parishioner do otherwise than respond?

As someone who grew up Catholic and attended Catholic schools for 13 years, I think it's refreshing to see a priest really think deep about the issue instead of bowing to the whims of socially conservative politicians of both parties, as bishops in Massachusetts and Rhode Island seem to.
Some of us feel secure enough in our heterosexual marriages not to be threatened by gay marriage. I wish that were true of more people, but hey, to each his or her own.
