Things We Read Today, 3

Justin Katz

Today's short takes address misleading labeling at the DNC, misleading fact-checking, fading national competitiveness, and the September 10 mentality.

I caught a bit of CNN DNC coverage around 4:30, the topic was Clinton speaking. An "analyst" (can't say that without saying anal) commented "He has to be given credit for having created 22 million jobs". They give him personal credit.

I couldn't make this stuff up. Has everyone forgotten the "Housing Boom" fueled with fraudulent mortgages? How about the "Dot.Com" boom? Do you think they had a little to do with it? I remember when he raised the death tax on people who were already dead.

Why do we believe that a president can "create jobs"?

I also noted that Romney was preparing for a debate at a "Vermont Mansion".

No wonder CNN was once known as the "Clinton News Network".
