You Want Flexibility? Try Yoga

Patrick Laverty

The President believes he'll have additional flexibility after the November elections. He was recorded on a live microphone telling Russian President Medvedev, in the context of national defense systems:

“This is my last election,’’ Obama is heard telling outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. “After my election, I have more flexibility.’’
What exactly could that mean? He'll have more flexibility after the election? I don't really understand that. If there's something he wants to do, he should just do it. If he believes it's not good for the US people to do it, he shouldn't do it at all, whether it is before or after the election.

If nothing else, it tells us how he's thinking and what his priorities really are.

Patrick you sound naive. Hussein Obama has been waiting for years to enact his radical agenda, He needs a second term to complete the job. He has no campaign or re-election to worry him (nor impede him). He will use executive orders and his Flying Monkey press and "czars" to do his bidding.
Obama hates this country as founded and considers the constitution an impediment. Witness HusseinCare. The deal with Russia is about diminishing our influence and "leveling" the playing field. Hussein considers the US imperialists thus the many worldwide "apologies". We are over consumers who have wreaked havoc on the planet. He is fifth column in a dress suit. His "friends" tried to bomb the Pentagon and his preacher hates white people. Why would a deal with Russia to disarm the west and undermine NATO so surprise you?

There have been a few news reports that the Pentagon is a little worried. They suspect a missle deal that they are unaware of.

Maybe that is why he got the Nobel Peace Prize. I have wondered about that.

"“Russia, is without question our number one geopolitical foe,” Willard Romney-care.
President Dmitry Medvedev calmly requested the US presidential candidates to check their calendars "It is now 2012..not the 1970's..the cold war is over"" Reagan and Thatcher won !

Building a missile shield on another continent is just crazy ? Who's national defense are we talking about ? Europe has the money, resources, and expertise to build it themselves if they want it.

What President Obama said makes perfect sense

Sammy, you miss the point. The point is if it makes sense, then do it now. What does the "one more election" have to do with it? Why the secret? If he opposes the defense system then fine, stand up behind the lectern and tell us that he opposes them and he's shutting down the program. Just be honest with us.

Sammy, take off the blinders. Both Russia and China are talking and acting aggressively. Russia still seems to "talking", but the Chinese military build up is rather impressive. Of the two, Russia seems to be more of a threat to our "backyard".

India is a close third, but has only been shooting in East Timor. That is a strategically important land mass to us.
A glance at the map, with shipping routes, will show you why.

"his Flying Monkey press"

Very good ...

Who cares? They're not going to attack us, there'd be no point in starting a war that would start with a worldwide economic collapse and could only end in a nuclear holocaust.

Meanwhile, we have a bunch of huge fiscal problems coming down the pipe and we're footing a huge bill for defense when there's not even a war going on.

In my opinion, it's time to switch from 'guns' to 'butter' for a bit.
