NEA-RI Promotes John Leidecker

Monique Chartier

EastBayRI reports - exclusively, it appears - in an article that also describes the latest development (mediation) in the stalled Bristol/Warren teacher contract negotiations. Mr. Leidecker is the lead negotiator for the NEA-RI in those talks.

... Mr. Leidecker, negotiator for the Rhode Island chapter of the National Education Association (NEARI), was recently found guilty of cyberstalking by a Superior Court judge. Though some, including his target, former Bristol/Warren Representative Doug Gablinske, have called for him to step aside as negotiator now that the court has spoken, that won’t happen.

Instead, he’s been promoted. Once Mr. Leidecker finishes these negotiations, he will step aside as a “UniServe,” the union’s name for one who negotiates contracts across the state, and will step in as Deputy Executive Director of NEARI. Once he leaves, the plan is to make Linda LaClair, a long-time librarian at the Kickemuit Middle School who now works for NEARI, the district’s new UniServe.

Of course he's being promoted - he did exactly what he was being paid to do by his criminal organization - intimidate and harass an elected official who spoke out against The Union Family. When mobsters are released from prison, they are paid and promoted for their years of time. The NEA must operate along similar guidelines and think that Liedecker deserves to be made capo for his conviction.

I could not help but think of the denigration of Max Cleland by the Conservative "Patron Saint" and draft dodging coward Karl Rove and Saxby Chambliss in the 2002 Georgia senate race, who questioned the triple amputee's war vet's patriotism and photoshopped a picture of Mr Cleland with Bin Laden.

Max Cleland and John Leidecker??? How's that Arizona heat? Were you out in the sun too long again?

Max-why do you expect sammy to amke sense?
FWIW Cleland was maimed by a mishandled projectile from a grenade launcher-it really sucks when your own side f**ks you up.
And I don't know anything about Rove and Chambliss, but Cheney was sure a draft dodging A-hole.
How ANY of this applies to the merry prankster Leidecker is beyond logic.
Maybe the membership of the NEA will wake up to the damage Walsh,Crowley,Leidecker, and Rainone are doing to the images of teachers in RI.

Sammy the full-time Democratic Troll strikes again. Nearly every thread now.

Is trolling allowed on this blog? Just curious.

Why is this "Sammy" character still allowed to post completely irrellevant trollisms?

Leidecker gets a promotion for following the NEA playbook. Union members need to replace their union leadership.

Terrorists always promote after a hit. You see it all the time with Osama's buddies. Same thing here.

I'm a BW teacher. Normally I fight hard to refrain from vomiting on Leidecker or Crowely when they address us in publicly.

Next time...I'll get a front row seat.

Typical government union scumbaggery.
Remember when the WW teachers wore black armbands in support of 2 pedophile members.
Or the Lincoln teacher indicted for raping a student who had the charges dropped within a week, after the union publicly called for Lynch (running for governor at the time) to drop the case.
Or that the the head of the Prov. Police union right now was indicted (yes he beat the case at trial) for raping a teenage girl.
