A Connection of the New RIGOP Wave

Justin Katz

Seeing a conspiracy would go a bit far, but this does suggest that the two new faces of the RIGOP are taking similar guidance from local sources:

[Republican Congressional Candidate Brendan Doherty] also paid $10,786 to the same Vermont fundraising consultant, Darcie Johnston, working with Barry Hinckley, the Newport Republican hoping to unseat U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I. Doherty paid Johnston Consulting for "mailing of solicitation letters" and other unspecified fundraising services.

Such similarities are certainly not evidence of anything nefarious, but it is interesting to see two first-time-candidates — not previously familiar faces in the RIGOP circuit, but both running for high-profile offices — making some of the same decisions.

Comments

“TOTALLY TESTED & PROVEN”
It sounds to me that Mr. Katz is a little partisan with his comments, is he really trying to imply some sort of impropriety here?
Such dispersions would only cause some serious questions about his own agenda, if not his own abilities as a political analysis.
He is talking about Brendan Doherty here!
Virtually ever informed person of goodwill; Democrat, Republican, or Independent knows that Brendan is just what he appears to be, a RIGHTEOUS PUBLIC SERVANT, an intelligent and caring human being.
It hard for some people these days to think that such a person as Brendan can exist, while he does. “BRENDAN DOHERTY” IS UNIQUE THAT WAY.

Who said "totally tested and proven"? Or is that just a slogan you're testing out for your client, Mr. Doherty?
