Dirtiest Campaign Ever? Thus has it always been claimed....

Marc Comtois

Thanks to the folks at Reason.com for reminding people that political campaigns have been dirty for quite some time (say, a couple hundred years, at least).

Well, Jefferson survived "Dusky Sally" and Cleveland overcame "Ma, Ma where's my pa? Gone to Washington, ha, ha, ha"

Why can people not accept thqt we are a "raucous democracy"? I like attack ads, they focus my attention.

What A says about B and what B says about A has nothing to do with what A or B actually says.

Negative ads do not help public discourse.
