Caprio Drops to Third in Latest Poll

Carroll Andrew Morse

This is the latest poll result in the Governor's race, according to WJAR-TV's (NBC 10) latest poll released last night...

The poll put independent Lincoln Chafee in the lead with 35 percent of the vote, followed by Republican John Robitaille with 28 percent and Caprio with 25 percent. The margin of error leaves Robitaille and Caprio in a statistical tie. Moderate Party candidate Ken Block had 2 percent. Ten percent said they were undecided.

A friend of mine said to me, in a disappointed tone in late 2009, "Lincoln Chafee is going to be the next governor"

I refused to believe it for a long time. But my friend, who has an incredible ability to see through a lot of noise, was right.

Nothing could be clearer. Lincoln Chafee is going to be the next Governor.

What does it say about our state's electorate that a guy that dumb could have so many people fooled?

I have a friend who is a Dallas Cowboy fan. I was talking to him today about them loosing their quarterback, and he said "oh well, it can't get any worse"
Well that is sorta how I feel about that office of governor, Carcieri was pretty awful.
