A Glimpse Down the Social Path (or, Perhaps, Sociopath)

Justin Katz

Inch by inch. What's controversial today is commonplace tomorrow, as the forces of so-called progress poke, prod, and pry our civilization apart. Feel free to use the comment section to accuse me of exaggeration and doom-crying; people respond thus with every turn of the ratchet:

Parents' organizations in Spain are fiercely protesting the curriculum of the Socialist government's required education course, "Education for the Citizenry," after it was revealed that in one Spanish city, students are being taught that sex can be freely practiced, even with animals.

According to the organization "Professionals for Ethics," third grade students in Cordoba, located in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia, are using course material stating that "nature has given us sex so we can use it with another girl, with a boy or with an animal." Parents groups say the material indoctrinates children and camouflages an agenda that is pro-homosexual and critical of moral norms and values.

That's why they call themselves Progressives. They want steady, incremental destruction of all individual human values so that the would-be tyrants who lead them can control everyone.

If you believe in nothing, you can be led to believe anything. That's exactly what they want.

Are you sure you are translating correctly?

I could easily read what you quoted as saying "we use sex to breed dogs, pigs, etc. to fit our needs"........

Beside, isn't Spain almost totally Catholic? Is this what Catholics teach?

Just saying....if you are gonna dig that deep to try to smear progressives, wouldn't it be more sane to look at their deep religion?

BTW, I heard good news on TV last night. It turns out that Catholic countries have cut their childbirth rate in 1/2....this is in Europe (Italy, Portugal, etc.), where these people are defying the Pope and Church Doctrine to do so!

Good news for Earth Day. We need less people

Stuart is so predictable-I just wonder if his "fat bank account"and his "luxurious house" came from investments in "dirty" businesses? Like ferinstance-the Gore family.
Stuart won't own up to the truth.
FWIW I only invested in T bills and municipals.Didn't make a ton of money, but only had very minimal losses in the meltdown.Things sometimes work out.Stuart sounds like a greedy fella who pulled out just in time.

As I understand the Massachusetts decision on same sex marriage, there is nothing htat prevents polygamy; or marrying your collie.

This is not stated explicitly, but then there is no explicit "right to privacy" in the U.S. Constitution.

Ok, let's see....

Joe is jealous - probably because I average a whopping 8.2% yearly on my investments over the past 5 years...hey, joe, you have to take some risk if you want to make the return! But I am in many more bonds than I am stocks.....you know, those terrible horrible things that invest in government - municipals, etc.

And Faust....well, he wants to marry a chicken, while other repubs are suggesting we solve our health care crisis by trading chickens for brain surgery.........

Where is the sanity on the "right" side of hope in RI. One might think they have run out of actual issues, and so have to dump on gay people once again......

C'mon folks, silly season is over. Get busy.....and, Joe, good luck on the surgery...no kidding. I'm pulling for ya.

Stuart writes:

Well, no. I was sort of attracted to one once. She started going on about how her husband didn't understand her and I thought it was time to get out of there. Too bad, I needed the eggs.

Spain is more socialist today than it is Catholic. We remember well the shameful, cowardly swinging of its elections to the Socialist after al-Qaeda made clear its opposition to the incumbent conservative government by bombing the Madrid subway.

But of course, American Leftists wouldn't dare offend the fascist "religion of peace" while they gleefully insult Christians and Jews all day long. After all, they have too much in common.

Stuart-I am seriously jealous of no one becaause they did well financially.I am satisfied with my lifestyle and frankly don't need more than I have.I own two really old cars which have been well-maintained and aren't taxable-I have a minute house payment-we don't eat out-we don't go to clubs, concerts,or even many movies(dvd's are better)-I begrudge you nothing you made honestly. My point was simply that you tend to get preachy about environment, corporations, etc and I wondered where you made your money,a valid question under the circumstances.
Investing in government securities is fine-no one is forcing you to do so.
These days I stick to insured CD's,because I know nothing about the stock market.
It doesn't matter if you're investing in stocks, coins, stamps, books, art,or anything else.If one doesn't educate themselves thoroughly about what they're buying, there usually negative consequences.
Thanks-this surgery should solve a problem that's caused me severe pain sine 2002 and which SEVEN doctors missed.A first year resident at the VA diagnosed it in three minutes-there really are a lot of smart young people around-we just don't hear about them-we are instead subjected to trash like Paris Hilton in the mass media.

>>>I wondered where you made your money,a valid question under the circumstances.

Curiosity killed the cat, but if you must know I made my money little by little over 30+ years, mostly from hand-ons and mom and pop shop. One appliance at a time, so to speak.

I worked up to 70 hours a week, but don't feel bad for me because I did enjoy it to a degree. At the same time, the stress does become too much after awhile - at least for me (I'm not a type A).

Anyway, my good friend who is a financial consultant has many clients who are millionaires - who worked in menial jobs for GE and other corps. It turned out that these companies gave employees stock over the years!

I have no problems with business, in fact a lot of my life revolves around trade. What I have a problem with is excess greed and lack of responsibility. I would guess that you would also.

As to this article which Justin quotes - how about some links or proof that the teachers taught folks to screw animals? Or is this made up?

Bob, you are too funny! Anyone who has either been to Europe or spoke at length with Europeans can tell you that their FURTHEST RIGHT conservative parties and governments would be called 100% Socialist by the likes of you.

They would laugh at you......their far righties would........but deep inside they would sense danger.

I think Stuart is lying about his "business" career. Nobody with his attitude could have succeeded in a retail business.

In fact, I think that Stuart comes here to indulge his fantasies. A weird variation of an internet porn surfer.

Posted by: BobN at April 23, 2010 10:03 AM

I would have to agree with Stuart on questioning this article that Justin links to. Where is the proof? I would think Joe would question it too, as he did when Donna Hughes tried to force the red herring of Human Trafficking at the Asian massage parlors in the prostitution debate a few months ago. I do find it interesting that Hughes is featuring sex with animals on her website right now too, so when Hughes is talking about anything I have to believe it is 99% made up.

I really liked my job so much I didn't want to get promoted off the street to adesk. When I realized I was losing my edge,I retired because a false macho attitude can get a colleague killed or maimed.Money was a factor like it is for most of us,but I preferred the satisfaction of doing something well to just money.
Swazool-I haven't checked the article as yet-I have a tendency to go off topic.
As much as I like free enterprise,I have about zero business acumen.I couldn't sell air conditioners in Sudan.

Posted by: joe bernstein at April 23, 2010 12:01 PM

Stuart, Swazool...forget it. This is AR. If you think homosexuality is a bigger evil than corporate greed, you'll make up anything and reach for anything (unless of course it involved priests - they're excused).
It was gays' fault the Sox got shut out last night LOL.

I'm sorry but has anyone found an independent link or article discussing the “Education for the Citizenry” spanish education course? Upon looking into this story, I have only found catholic news stories on the matter. A free repubic piece on the matter cited a catholic news agency source as well. I also couldn't locate a newspaper or agency in spain covering it (i'm not fluent in spanish, but i know enough). This fact sort of bothers me, and leaves me thinking this may not be accurate/ running too quick without detail. I'm sorry but the catholic news agency isn't my first source for news nor would I consider them objective in reporting or explaining a story. They cite no evidence, interview no one with knowledge of it, nor provide any proof sans what they say. It doesn't bother others to assume the accuracy of a piece without having any evidence?

Too much spin and the "them vs us" attitude in today's world, which leads to a huge lack of discourse/spread of half-truths and manipulated facts. The problems in today's political/social realm begins there.

>I think Stuart is lying about his "business" career. Nobody with his attitude could have succeeded in a retail business.

Well, Bob, on one hand you believe the premise of this thread - that Catholics in Spain teach their third graders to screw sheep....and then you have a hard time understanding how a good attitude helps one succeed in business?

Bass Ackwards, as they say........

Heck, I'm no Donald Trump....didn't inherit money or power like he, and don't screw people like he does for his money......

I made money the old fashioned way - earned it dollar by dollar. I did well by everyone I dealt with including my employees.

I was taught that was the Golden Rule and part of the American Dream. Maybe I'm a sap - I could have probably made a lot more by screwing folks.

But, as Justin would say, I believe in a higher power.

But, heck, you ain't never gonna be privy to my bank account...

Things were different in my day - that is, the 70's and 80's - we actually worked for a living and didn't look to flipping condos or mortgages or other BS to make a buck.

Buy, Hey, to make you feel good Bob.....95% or more of that I say is the honest truth. I always leave the other 5% for human tendencies to measure a fish as longer than it was.

Nowhere in the linked article does it state that the Socialist perverts teaching this rot are Catholics, so I reject the premise of arguments against Justin's and my point.

European Socialists and American Progressives are much the same. The key difference is that the European Socialists are more secure in their Statist power and therefore less prone to violence and hateful speech than the Americans, who still think they are on the leading edge of a "revolution".

Mike, the socialist,is trying to explain socialism to his friend,Ike.
Mike says"If I have two factories,I give you one";"if I have two yachts,I give you one,get it"?
Ike says "okay,if you have two shirts, you give me one"?
Mike recoils-"whaa-at?No,no-I actually have two shirts"!!
This is the way American socialists and communists have thought all along.
