Rhode Island Young Republicans: Welcome to 2010

Monique Chartier

Premiered at last night's RIGOP meeting.

Comments

I watched the entire thing and have no idea what the Young Republicans stand for or what they hope to accomplish if voted into office.

Yeah....

Not sure what to make of this.

But then again, I'm not sure that the young republicans stand for much these days except maybe being used as an excuse for going out clubbing once a month.

I could see colbert doing a great bit on this video.

yah....

If this is the future of the RI GOP then there is no future for the RI GOP.

Great to see youth involved in politics.

Do they realize that Archie Bunker was a satirization of a right-wing bigot?

And Glen Beck?! Do people really admit to watching Glen Beck?

One hardly knows where to start.

As a member of the RIYR, let me clear up some of your doubts, worries and misconceptions about this video.
1) This was meant to be a retrospective look at politics in 2009, nothing more.
2) It was the first video of many, a "dry run", so to speak. Future videos (which are already in production) will be much more messasge oriented.
3) The use of Archie Bunker achieved it's goal: shock and comedy. You took notice, and if you're not a PC lib, you might have even laughed at what he said about Dems in the clip.
Don't stress yourselves out trying to "figure out what it all means", it will be explained in due time.
