If "A" Equals "B", Then "C" Equals Patrick Lynch is a Racist

Monique Chartier

Patrick Lynch's campaign issued a press release (thanks, Ian Donnis) implying that the Statewide Coalition must be racist because they associate with the Tea Party movement which is, in turn,

responsible for a number of ugly protests around the country featuring racist rhetoric and signage over the past year.

The plot thickens, however. Harry Staley reported yesterday afternoon on the Dan Yorke Show that Patrick Lynch sought to associate himself a couple of weeks ago with the Statewide Coalition - wha-a-a-a-t? - by soliciting their support on the matter of the LNG terminal.

It seems clear that by his own logic and definitions, when Patrick Lynch is doing his round-up of racists, he needs to include the man in the mirror.

Comments, although monitored, are not necessarily representative of the views Anchor Rising's contributors or approved by them. We reserve the right to delete or modify comments for any reason.

Something more to the liking of Patrick Lynch and his wacked out stupid liberal friends would be a gay pride parade where children are exposed a disgusting, vile, perverted freakshow. That's OK, but a bunch of pissed off ordinary taxpayers is not.
OK you nutbag, Lynch. Let's just see in November.

The hilarity of this ill-conceived and trite post is endless. I cannot say I am surprised your blog-site would latch onto one minor segment of an entire press release to wage your assault on the character of Patrick Lynch. To say that SOME of the persons participating in the tea parties did not have a racist agenda is a lie even you won't present. So with that understanding, slamming Lynch as a person, and telling him to look in the mirror (calling him a racist WITHOUT any true foundation) is the type of hateful and virulent rhetoric the press release addresses. Being involved in the process is encouraged, spewing hatred, whether it is some people holding racist signs at rallies, or YOU blindly accusing AG Lynch of being a racist should be DISCOURAGED.

Wow, is this the first time that Patrick Lynch has posted a comment on Anchor Rising? Nice of you to stop by, Mr. AG

Posted by: Patrick at January 27, 2010 2:32 PM

Patrick, I was thinking the same thing.

What is really funny about this trap Lynch has set for himself: "(calling him a racist WITHOUT any true foundation) is the type of hateful and virulent rhetoric the press release addresses."

He and his spin doctors don't seem to even realize the hypocrisy of their comments. The broad statements about tea parties, without any supporting facts, is OK. But to place the mirror square in front of them is "virulent rhetoric".

Let's hope he wins the primary, even Rory Smith could beat this guy.

Concerned RI Voter,
What are you concerned about? It certainly is not the truth and reality. Your boy Patrick Lynch is as much a scumbag politician as exists in RI. He can not be trusted to do the right thing. He is owned by the unions so he gives the fire inspector in West Warwick a free pass after being the one person most responsible for the 100 deaths in the Station fire.
You are obviously not a "concerned RI voter" as you would have us believe. I learned a long time ago not to listen to what liars say, but watch what they do. That exposes you as a fraud. Try, "totally unconcerned RI voter."

Posted by: Mike Cappelli at January 27, 2010 3:08 PM

Actually, a lot of the racist protesters and the ones comparing Obama to Hitler referenced by Sheldon Whitehouse were Lyndon Larouche supporters and technically Democrats. Guess that means all the Democratic candidates are racists.

Posted by: Dan at January 27, 2010 3:17 PM

Lynch is just a phony liberal to me. His failure to sign on along with almost every other AG in the country to a shield law for reporters and bloggers should be a big red flag to anyone in ther blogsophere, no matter where they stand on the political spectrum.
BTW, read Arlene Violet's Valley Breeze column...subtle reference at the end to the 800-pound gorilla (actually, more like one-eighth of that) in Lynch's closet. Issue I've heard about, but this may be its MSM debut.

Posted by: rhody at January 27, 2010 3:47 PM

Wow.
Credibility really isn't important to you is it? Concerned RI voter is right. This post was ill conceived and trite. Regardless of one's politics, this drivel is amateurish and vapid, and anyone with any sense would not subscribe to these crass , cheap shots.

The good folks at Anchor Rising, should be proud to have Mike Cappelli and Monique, on their team. Calling people names always moves your side of the argument forward.
Be well all

Now, Ayla Brown is, by all accounts, a very lovely, accomplished young woman. She's the kind of kid you'd be proud to call your own daughter. Very talented and driven young lady. However, I find it rather curious that Senator Brown's press flack had to correct the impression that Ayla Brown and the Celtic's J.R. Giddens were dating, or had dated. I wonder why this was handled that way? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I know one thing. I have a very lovely daughter around the same age as Ayla, incredibly hardworking and talented, in college, extremely smart, brilliant actually, and that's no lie. However, if I ever said "she was available" on national TV, I'd have to run to the Appalachians to hide out for at least a year. She would croack me in a heartbeat over that. ANY independent minded young woman today probably would have the same reaction. I bet Ayla Brown , privately, still fumes about dad's chauvanist utterings. But this whole J.R. Giddens thing, and Senator Brown's press person's "correction" might have a more sinister meaning than first meets the eye.
"Eye"..I kill myself sometimes....you SEE..this is Mr. Giddens... is a guard for the Boston Celtics...6'5" tall...great athlete, a hustling player with grit and energy who gets the most out of his talent. Sounds like a good match to me...you know, same age, common interests, used to being in the public EYE running with the rich and famous....there's that word again...well...this is what I mean:

Mr. Giddens is African-American. I think you know where I am going with this. Not a good thing for a conservative Republican Senator already being talked about as presidential timber before he's even been sworn into office as having a daughter in show business AND dating sshhhhh - an African American. Yes, these things you do not want associated with your name in certain (all) red states who now see you as carrier of the Holy Grail. Nope, gotta dump any reference to the N.......nice young Celtics player.
My daughter would have my head on a platter if I even dared to get involved with who she wanted to date, period! And so would most of yours. It really is their choice. Young people today do not have any problems dating people of any race, religion, creed or sexual preference, AND THANK GOD FOR THAT! They don't see the world the same way most of us old timers did, with blinders driven into our heads by what we heard and saw as children. The old Roger's and Hammerstien song from the play/movie South Pacific that dealt with the subject of racism , at a time when the Civil Rights movement in the US was coming to the fore, was absolutely right when it said "you have to be carefully taught to hate":
She may only have ever known him as a friend, and that would be her right. On her website there are numerous pics of her with her arms around caucasian young men, but none of those folks were mentioned as "mutual friends she never dated". The reality is now that daddy has won a seat as a US Senator and is a sweetheart of the radical right and your local ignorant, under educated and under employed nut job teabaggers, (most of whom probably own several weapons," just because you never know") he has to keep up his radical right bona fides and dump the N.....nice young African American "friend" form their collective consciousness.
"EYE"...I hate to say it, but it's always an ugly thing when racism's ugly head walks into the room. And in this case the "EYES" have it, the picture of J.R. Giddens tells the tale. The red states truly are race conscious, and that's a polite way of describing it, as the last election shows. And your newly elected Senator is wasting NO time in pandering to the slimy forces of hate, embracing these dark ideals as if they were his own. Problem is, with a guy like Brown, you can't tell WHAT his real ideals are. And that's why he, and his radical right republican friends, and his teabagger fans, as so dangerous to this country.

Monique's post sounds like a put-on just to show how taking everything to its "logical"conclusion can be kinda ridiculous.
I can't see Patrick Lynch as a racist, but his ethics are very questionable when it comes to where he takes money for his campaign. This is not good for the state's chief law enforcement officer.
Apparently a bunch of self appointed arbiters of who is and isn't a racist missed the point ALTOGETHER IN THEIR ZEAL TO SMEAR ALL WHO PROTEST THE ADMINISTRATION AND ITS ALLIES IN CONGRESS.
Okay,shouldn't yell.
Jeff,if this site disturbs you, take a hike.I regularly read Kmareka and RIF but have quit commenting on either because I know when my comments are intrusive and unwelcome.
I'll tell you who is consumed by race:Eric Holder-he can't shut up about it.
Pat Crowley and Matt Jerzyk keep harping on it also. They throw out accusations like rice at a wedding.
Have any racists or bigots shown up at Tea Party rallies?Of course-there's no vetting process for attending a protest rally.Rabid Jew haters like Cynthia McKinney and some others are always welcome at left wing events. No problem there.Matter of fact, people who hate Caucasians are welcome too.Leftists wallow in self hatred and the need to be admonished by people they haven't consciously harmed(unless the whole Cloward-Piven mindset is considered)because they are maladjusted in their outlook.
Anyhow,it's nice to see the agitators in full insanity for a change.

FWIW RISC and the Tea Party aren't exactly swapping spit, although they may agree on many points.
Harry Staley and Colleen Conley have a mutual dislike,it seems.
I don't "belong" to either group although I share many sentiments with both.
I do belong to RIILE because they make a lot of sense.Something about enforcing existing law.

Posted by: joe bernstein at January 27, 2010 7:20 PM

Pat Lynch has bigger problems than his smarmy hypocrisy in calling RISC a racist organization while seeking their help on LNG.
He's got 40,000 problems in the form of political donations made to him by folks with a vested interest in the hospital merger he's been working on as this state's AG. Pat is Denny's dirty little boy. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree in that family.
Btw, why has it taken "good government" Dan Yorke 7+ yrs to figure out that Pat Lynch is a dirty little boy?? Pat's been compromised in that job from day 1. Yorke loses cred when he turns a blind eye to the obvious because he's cozy with Brother Bill. Yorke has not even spent the equivalent of an entire show = 4 hours total over the past 7 years discussing the sins of Patrick Lynch. Why is he starting now??

Posted by: Tim at January 27, 2010 8:23 PM

Sorry for the simplicity: Lynch is simply worthless and weak. He's a complete stooge of labor and is behind the biggest (and most underreported) coverup in RI history: the protection of the West Warwick fire marshal and his fire union buddies after The Station Fire "investigation."

Posted by: Jackson at January 27, 2010 8:59 PM

Patrick Lynch has done a terrible job as AG. He would do an even worse job as Governor. I agree with Jackson's January 27th comment that his handling of the Station fire was disgraceful.

Shame on you Patrick Lynch.

This site is a vile cesspool populated by partisans who have more invested in forcing their world views on the country than their love of country. Serious full on Silkwood shower required after brief visits is necessary

Patriot: Thank you for your thoughtful contribution to this discussion. In fact, I think you just won the debate by acclamation, and have made yourself the idol of all who read your post.

Posted by: BobN at January 28, 2010 8:09 PM

Bob-_I'm sure Jeff sees nothing objectionable there.

Posted by: joe bernstein at January 28, 2010 10:23 PM

>>Btw, why has it taken "good government" Dan Yorke 7+ yrs to figure out that Pat Lynch is a dirty little boy??

Instead of staying neutral when Lynch was up for reelection, Yorke was his pal on the radio, running interferance and being helpful any way he could.

Now that Lynch has been safely reelected and it's to late to prosecute the West Warwick fire inspector, Yorke has begun finding little faults with the Lynch. Why now, Dan? It's a little late.
