Providence Monthly: Katz and Jerzyk on Governor's Race

Marc Comtois

Anchor Rising's Justin Katz and Matt Jerzyk (former proprietor of RI Future) were asked by the Providence Monthly to handicap the presumed 2010 Rhode Island gubernatorial candidates. But there was a twist: Justin took a look at the Dems (and Chafee) and Matt looked at the GOP (and Chafee).

Matt has helpfully provided links to each piece (thanks Matt). HERE is Matt's piece on the Republicans and HERE is Justin's take on the Democrats.

Comments

Okay, I'll be the first to bite.

Aside from Justin looking like the Minuteman, was the umbrella turned upside down a symbol of that Democratic umbrella mentioned in the article hoping to collect rain to drop their hopes?

After read Matt's article, well, no comment except for this one small point.

He mentions Erik Wallin as a military officer. Unless I've heard wrong, wasn't Wallin a JAG?

Roland -

Straight from Wallin's own website:

"After being admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he accepted a commission in the United States Air Force (USAF) as a First Lieutenant. Erik was a Distinguished Graduate of Commissioned Officer Training. Thereafter, he graduated from Air University's Judge Advocate Staff Officer School and was promoted to the rank of Captain."

Thanks Matt! The Internet is a wonderful thing and I came across the info later on.
