BREAKING: Crowley Says Union Lawsuits Frivolous

Justin Katz

Well, there you have it — further evidence of the unions' strategy for getting their way. In a comment to Marc's post on legislation creating perpetual union contracts, National Education Association of Rhode Island Assistant Executive Director Pat Crowley comments:

Right wingers in favor of frivolous lawsuits.....gotta love it.

As in: If this legislation doesn't pass, we, the unions, will deliberately drain public coffers with frivolous lawsuits designed to twist your arms until you cry, "Alinsky!"

Of course, this is a threat that has surely rung out in every town in the state; here's our example in Tiverton.

I filmed Newsmakers with Mr. Crowley this AM. Should be on the site before airing on Sunday. The topic was- Labor control of RI. It was fun!

He mentioned the lawsuits - it must be nice to have so many lawyers you can file frivolously.

Did you know that the NEA-RI dispersed $6.7m last year, of which (as Justin has reported) about $84k went to Pat. But, according to LM-2 reports (available at the Transparency Train) only $5 of that is for "political activity." Yup, you read correctly - $5. That means he only spends 0.0059% of his time advocating for legislation or politicians.

You can't make this stuff up.

You can't.That's bizarre.Crowley is a political activist on numerous issues totally separate and apart from teachers' employment matters.

And, for the record, totally separate from his employment at NEARI.

you are so silly Justin. Only you would interpret it that was.

Take the thesaurus out of your mouth...it will help with your perception organ
