God Bless Colleen Conley and the good work she is doing here in RI. I hope tomorrow is not the last we hear from her!

Echoing what a couple of people have said today, anyone attending who owns a video camera is strongly encouraged to bring it, to record both the event itself and any silly shenanigans carried out by people who misunderstand the purpose of the event.

I'm with you in spirit today fellow Americans. (Unfortunately I'm in Hartford on biz this afternoon but am with you in thought and belief)
Have no idea what kind of numbers you'll get at the State house but regardless DO NOT BE DISSUADED OR DISCOURAGED. The 'undercurrent' is there in this slumbering wreck of a state (as it is in the nation) and it's only a matter of time before it shows itself.

Perfect. I will get out of work in time to miss DiPetro and hear Bob Healey!

Unlike some of the deficit-spending-is-ok-if-it's-my-guy-in-office speakers and attendees, Healey has been uniformly against wasteful spending since entering the political scene.

I just hope this thing is a success and that it stays course and doesn't turn into a GOPaloooza. Wasteful spending, massive dedicit increases, and lack of representation should not be a partisan issue!

JP,
I'm against wastful spending. Everyone I know is against wasteful spending. I don't know anyone who is for wasetful spending. The argument is what is wasteful and what is not.

In short, much of what you call wasteful spending is to me socially justified expenditures.

It's kind of like the "Patriotism/Flag" issue. One group calls it patriotism, another sees it as know nothing jingoism.

I can go on, but by now if you haven't gotten the idea you may never get it.
