Alas the "urban" delegations in the General Assembly have the numbers to make sure that the suburbs continue to be milked in order to keep feeding the urban political - union- welfare industry machine.

What a silly and frivolous idea. As if Providence is the only municipality with some questionable disability pensions.

Pragmatist, from what Tim White reported, no other city or town comes close to Providence, especially those compounding pensions which are up to $13,000/month. Times 108 recipients.

But sure, no problem. Whatever disability abuses are occurring elsewhere, they, too, get deducted from that municipality's state aid.
