No tears will be shed for scumbag Alves. However, considering how the unions put the knife in his back, he might have done us some favors in his leadership position by returning the favor.
In any event, this state will be so broke in the short term (actually in the medium and long terms too!)that watching the progressive Democrats and the corrupt hack Democrats scramble for the vanishing revenues like the last lifeboat on the Titanic will provide eons of comic relief. Let the games begin!
Hey Pat-how's that "funding formula" looking for 2009?
LOL.

There is nothing that could happen today, tomorrow, the entire weekend, the entire year and my entire life, that would make me as happy as hearing that Alves is going bye-bye.

Perhaps he could work at the Pinga bakery to get a read on the pulse of voters that did not vote for him. Let's face it, Pinga is a nobody and he beat a somebody.

People in RI are finally fed up with the political machine that rules the serfs for many years.

Don't sit down, Mr. Montalbano, you're next.

FINALLY!! This dirtbag Alves is going away. Maybe Murphy, Montalbano, Williamson and Piava Weed will follow in November. One can only hope! I'm so tired of the morons in this state/country making the decisions in regard to who calls the shots for the rest of those who actually get it and do their homework before they vote. Go back to watching American Idiot you losers! More smart people please come forward and help become the majority......Thank you!

Thank you, RI Supreme Court, for doing the right thing.

Okay. Now we can dance on his political grave!

Thank God the unions stood up to this thug.
Now somebody riddle me this: How come we complain so much about Democratic legislators with union ties, but Rubbers Ruggerio, who makes more money than any of the others, gets a free pass in this forum?
I prefer to think that my neighbors who plaster their lawns with his signs aren't also connected (or "connected").
