WPRO AM gets FM Signal

Marc Comtois

Attention fellow members of the VRWC: set decoder rings to "Q2340442LLM"

The Score is no more and WPRO 630 AM has acquired the 99.7 FM slot to better promulgate VRWC talking points.

That is all.

Decoder ring has been set Marc. lol
Great news for anyone who's a fan of talk radio and has challenges with the a m signal after dark. Only downside is losing a great sports talk duo in Gresh and Zo. They knew their stuff especially football and were pretty hilarious at times. Hope they'll find a gig and stay together.

Bogus, bogus, bogus. A slap in the face to Rhode Island sports fans (if any of you have tried listening to EEI, moronic would be a tad understated for most of that crowd).
At least Gresh and Zo have other gigs on Comcast, CSTV, etc. (Gresh's father-in-law is allegedly a high muckety-muck at ESPN and he fills in there, so he'll land on his feet). But Jesus, Scott Cordischi got screwed, just like Coach Colletto did last year.
Bastards put some good people out of work today.

Perhaps the GA should fund a sports-talk radio station, Rhody. I can easily imagine the bill's "findings."

"Attention fellow members of the VRWC"

I didn't get the minutes from the last meeting. Any instructions I should be aware of?

Nice non sequitur, Justin.

Wow. What a totally different experience driving into work down in the cow pastures of West Kingston was today! I actually was able to hear the broadcast the entire trip!

I can't wait until tonight on the ride home when I won't have to resort to listening to CDs or WBRU.

I loaded some more CDs to ride to work this morning, and am now armed with one of those converters where you can play an iPod using an empty FM frequency.
I will say this about EEI: If you're a righty who think DePetro's gone soft, put on Dennis & Callahan.

Where do I tune in if I'm a righty that just things DePetro is a douchebag?
