GOP Incumbent McManus Trails Dem Challenger Loparto

Carroll Andrew Morse

With all 11 precints reporting, incumbent Republican William McManus trails Democratic challenger Ronald Loparto by 36 votes, 2,747-2,711, in Rhode Island's 46th General Assembly district.

UPDATE:

Mail ballots put McManus up by 11 votes, 2,811-2,800.

Comments

This is very disappointing. Bill McManus has been a strong, independent voice for Lincoln specifically and Rhode Island in general. I just hope that Loparto will be as useless a representative as he has been a councilor.

Wow, that's great news about the mail ballots. Hope it sticks! Bill is a great guy and it would be a shame to lose someone like him from the delegation.
