A Reason to Support Hugo Chavez!

The boom in oil prices has helped fuel a 43 percent increase in Venezuela's public spending this year, to $37 billion. Chavez is investing in a commuter train and the fourth phase of Caracas's subway system.In other words, you should look past Chavez’s repression of free speech and public dissent because, like Italy's fascist leader Benito Mussolini, he can make the trains run on time.
Has the American left really sunk this far?
One really has to wonder if it has to do more with Chavez's promise of "cheap oil" to the poor or more likely, that he's trying so hard (with some success) of publicly sticking it to the Bush administration.
I guess by this yardstick of selective morality, Hitler was a great guy because he got Germany working again, built those really nice stadiums, and was a spiffy dresser!
If liberals want to pulbicly ally themselves with America's enemies, really, who are we to stop them? It only serves to cement in the mind of rational people what the disease of liberalism is really all about.
